Dream Your Life Conference, Saturday, December 1, 2018, 9:00am - 1:00pm, Temple SPACE. Big Dreams Require Big Achievements.
Meet Stacey. She’s been walking around with a head full of aspirations for quite some time, and right about now she’s frustrated because while she dreams big, she doesn’t achieve big. Now, I gotta tell you Stacey’s been through some rough times – abuse, depression, rejection – but she’s never given up on her dream. She wants to write a book to share her story with the world. She wants to love again. She wants to travel the world. And she wants to be happy again. But year after year, she’s stuck hoping and praying the same unfulfilled dreams come true. How do I know Stacey so well? I WAS Stacey. You see, I was abused, battered, terrified, depressed, rejected and swimming in a sea of hopelessness. That is, until I found a way to transform my dreams into reality in spite of the nightmare I was living.

So, if you’re just about ready to wave the white flag and quit on your dreams, put down the flag and tap [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-year-new-you-dream-your-life-conference-2018-tickets-50934402168] to join us for the New Year, New You: Dream Your Life Conference 2018.

✔️  4 life-changing hours to bask in a high-energy, inspirational, fun and action-driven experience
✔️  Open arms into a community filled with like-minded action takers and achievers to give you loving bursts of motivation
✔️ A Vision Board filled with all the goals inside your head, leaving you with a visual representation of everything you want out of life so you stay motivated and focused
✔️Access to the Smart Goal System so you can define, visualize and clarify your top 3 to 5 personal and professional goals and map out a plan to achieve them.

Engaging Mindfulness Meditation Practice Group, Saturday, December 8, 2018, 9:30am - 12:30pm, Classroom C. This is a unique meditation group, in that we also practice dialogue during our time together. This is a unique meditation group, in that we also practice dialogue during our time together. Not “social dialogue” where you may or may not click with the person(s) you speak with, or you might want to have the right thing to say. Meditative dialogue: Between silent meditation and the speed we move and speak of our every day world is a place we can practice meditative dialogue. Meditative dialogue might be explained as a grounded awareness where we can practice using speech, yet what we actually say isn’t important.  What is important is our awareness, what we noticed, what we chose to speak and what we didn’t.  This dialogue has nothing to do with a story we have been telling our friends.  Each moment may be different.  It is about experience.

As the listener, we practice bringing ourselves back to awareness and listening without an agenda.  We are so used to listening to offer advice, reassurance, empathy, teaching, etc…these are all agendas. Listening is one of the greatest gifts we can offer another person, and we cannot fully listen with and agenda. What I have noticed after being in dialogue with others is a comfortable closeness even if I don’t know much about them and after practicing dialogue in a monthly group, I remember again how I want to listen more closely, and how I want to slow down and connect with myself and others while I am speaking.

As with most groups, we practice silent meditation, have a dharma topic, and have time as a group to debrief and ask questions.

If you have any questions feel free to call Lori @ 816-516-2200. Lori is a meditation student, Unity Minister, Nonviolent Communication Trainer, and supports others on their journeys. This group meets monthly on the 2nd Saturday.

All meditation levels welcome. No prior experience necessary. Come experience connection as part of your meditation experience.

The Enneagram is a map of consciousness that helps us to see how different personality types relate to themselves, the world, and other people. By understanding these differences, we're better able to:

* consciously examine our own limiting patterns
* honor or own boundaries while building bridges of connection amidst our different ways of showing up in the world.

This will be a jam-packed interactive class! There will be a lesson on conflict styles, object relations, conflict styles, and social styles; however, the focus will be on grappling with case examples as well as your real-life interpersonal challenges. There will be panel discussions with Q&A.

This class is being offered on a love-offering basis. The suggested donation is $25 (no one will be turned away for lack of funds). Your generosity helps us to continue make wonderful programs like this available to ALL who need it, irrespective of ability to pay. Thank you!
