Legacy Soceity Meeting, Sunday, May 20, 2012, 11:45am - 12:15pm, Charles Fillmore Chapel. In the 1920's, Charles Fillmore had an idea to build a Temple on the Kansas City Plaza that would serve as a haven for rest and inspiration. This idea spread such enthusiasm that donations came from all over the world to fulfill this magnificent vision. Each of us are the beneficiaries of all those who donated their time, talents and treasures so many years ago. We are now the caretakers for this precious resource that can serve future generations who are in need of rest and inspiration. Jim Gaither is an Ordained Unity Minister with a Master’s degree in Philosophy and doctoral work in Philosophy and Theology. He taught in Unity’s Ministerial and Adult Education program for 20 years and has spoken at Unity ministries throughout the United States. Jim also served as Minister for 7 years as Eric Butterworth’s successor in New York City. Jim has contributed articles and “Metaphysical Musings” columns to Unity Magazine for over 30 years and was a founding co-host of the Unity Internet Radio Program “Biblical Power for Your Life.” His book “The Essential Charles Fillmore” is highly regarded by Unity Ministers and Unity students. He received the “Charles Fillmore Award for Visionary Leadership” in 2003.

What is it?
Serenity Pause meditation sessions are available to people from all walks of life and from all religious backgrounds and spiritual traditions. These sessions are offered daily at scheduled times throughout the week, making it easy for you to drop by and drop in to a place of peace and serenity - away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Each meditation time includes meditation instruction, time to sit, and time to discuss. Both chairs and mat/cushions are provided. All Serenity Pause Meditation sessions are offered on a love offering donation basis.
Space is available for individual meditation Mondays - Saturdays from 10:00am to 9:00pm.
