Experiencing the Spiritual Stories

Thursday, June 16 | 6:30pm | Temple Space

A story tickles the mind with intellectual considerations for a moment. When we have experienced a spiritual story or principle, it comes alive. Experience allows understanding to seep into the depths of the body, mind and spirit. We are able to relate the teachings to our own lives and use them in practical ways that bring personal growth and inner transformation.

We will be using a workshop approach to experience these popular spiritual stories.

  1. The Farmer & His Son
  2. The Two Wolves
  3. The Concept of Kintsugi
  4. The Blindmen and the Elephant

Mischa got her first taste of spirituality when she joined Unity Temple on the Plaza, in 1998. After learning the Unity principles, she delved deeply into religion, psychology, meditation, and spiritual practice as a way of personal growth and inner transformation.

Later, she was initiated into Sufism and empowered by a Sufi Baba and a Tibetan Rinpoche. She furthered her studies by reading the works of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, and the mystics from many spiritual belief systems. Mischa also studied Buddhism, Taoism, and Zen. When she was introduced to the practice of Qi Gong, her interests turned to energy practice and theory.

Mischa is the author and publisher of “The Basics of Mysticism,” “The Grail Path,” and numerous other books, workbooks, and journals.
